JACKIE CHAN PASSED AWAY THIS MORNING
The famous actor Jackie Chan died of a heart attack this morning.
The historic actor, who made a name for himself for his incredible performance in 1995 Rumble in the Bronx. His enormous charisma always gave him the opportunity to develop his career as a singer, stuntman, writer, film director and producer. The brilliant career of the most famous Chinese ended this morning by a heart attack in a Hong Kong Hospital.
The medical reports indicate that he suffered a fulminate heart attack, which paralyzed his heart making it impossible for the blood to reach his brain, and other vital organs, that caused the death of this humanitarian man, who years before was named philanthropist of the year for his country.
The sad news of Chans’s death was given by his wife Lin Feng-jiao in a news conference, a couple of hours ago, where she said to the media, “I hope you can understand my loss, and I would appreciate if you can give us space for our mourning”.
Until now, funeral's details are uncertain, nevertheless, the body of Jackie Chan will be buried next to his parents, who taught him the meaning of love for his family.
Definitely it’s a big loss. Rest in peace Jackie Chan.

Nigerians Hail Oshoala For Winning BBC Award

Nigerians have congratulated Liverpool forward Asisat Oshoala for winning BBC Women’s Footballer of the Year.
The
20-year-old forward is the first player to win the new award from the
BBC, voted for by football fans around the world. She beat Spain’s
Veronica Boquete, German Nadine Kessler, Scot Kim Little and Brazilian
Marta to the honour.
Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the chairperson, House of
Representatives Committee on the Diaspora tweeted early today that “last
year we celebrated you for making Ikorodu proud. This year, we say
thank you for making Nigeria proud. Congrats Asisat.”

Ikorodu Football Association, Alhaji Lookman said: “I am happy for
Oshoala for her BBC award. Her performance in the last few years showed
that the player has good future in the round leather game. Having
started her football career in Ikorodu, it means that there are more
potential players in our area. Let me use this medium to call on the
state government to build befitting sports facilities in Ikorodu so that
we can produce more Oshoalas in the nearest future.”
First
Bank Football Club’s goalkeeper trainer, David Dosu said the BBC award
will spur Nigerian female footballers to play better in their respective
clubs. He advised the award recipient to remain focused and avoid being
distracted. “This is a good news for all female footballers in Nigeria.
Oshoala has shown her consistency and commitment in her football
career. My advice for her is to keep up the good job,” said Dosu.
Step down now, Transparency International tells Blatter
Transparency international, pointed out to the US, and Swiss bribery probes involving football officials. “These scandals have taken place under Sepp Blatter’s watch of FIFA, which spans almost two decades,” the group’s managing director Cobus de Swardt said in a statement hours after news broke of the latest scandals to hit FIFA.
Transparency International also demanded that Friday’s election for the FIFA presidency should be suspended. Blatter was expected to be confirmed for a fifth term at FIFA’s congress in Zurich with the support of non-European football associations.
“Blatter must stand down and new elections called to mark a new era of FIFA leadership,” de Swardt said.
Transparency International has conducted an online poll through the social network and polling app FootballAddicts, which showed that four out of five respondents did not want Blatter to stand for re-election. Of the 35,000 respondents in 30 countries, 69 per cent said they did not have trust in FIFA. De Swardt called on all FIFA executive committee members to disclose all conflicts of interest. “Their hands need to be clean and seen to be clean,” he said.
The US, Justice Department alleged on Wednesday that former, current and incoming FIFA executive committee members were among those involved in a bribery scheme over football marketing and media rights in the Americas.
Transparency International has been asking FIFA to implement anti-graft measures related to decisions on World Cup hosts, financial flows to regional football bodies and football officials, broadcast and sponsorship rights, as well as ticket sales.

Former national table tennis coach, Babatunde Obisanya has lamented the steady decline of the game of ping pong in Nigeria. Speaking at the finals of the maiden edition of
Kandaval Inter-school Table Tennis Championship tagged Kandaval Cup on
Saturday, the coach stressed that without such competitions at the
grass-roots level, Nigeria which once dominated the sport in Africa and
the Commonwealth may soon run out of players who can hold their heads
high at regional meets

Miss kedike also turned up and guess what?! it was her birthday so she had a special gift for her fans. Wande Coal's energy was amazing and i sort of liked his out fit, especially his 'bad boy' snap back. Present also was kc, the limpopo mASTER, Oriste Femi, black magic with his laid-back swag and the charming Cynthia Morgan (i do not get her nose ring though). Mr. 2Kay Bags Six Nominations as NDAA Unviels 2015 Nominees List
The organizers of Niger Delta Advancement Awards (NDAA) have
announced the nominees of the 2015 edition of the annual awards. The
announcement, which was made on Monday, April 27, at Casablanca Sport Bar &
Restaurant, G.R.A, Phase, Port Harcourt, was attended by some of the nominees, PH
based entertainment stakeholders and entertainment journalists from various
media houses.
Running in its 6th edition, the NDAA 2015 nominees list
sees, David Jumbo aka Mr. 2Kay dominating the list with six nominations
(including features) in the 24 category list. The Grafton Records artiste will
be contending with artistes like Kcee, Burna Boy, Omawumi, Iyanya, Timaya, Waconzy
and a host of others.
The producer of "Bad Girl Special", Ayzed also got
a piece of the action, as he is nominated in the 'Best Music producer' of the
year category. According to the organizers, all the nominees are celebrated
already, but a few will be awarded based on the criteria and votes by the
general public.
The self-titled, “Waterside Boy”, David Jumbo aka Mr. 2Kay
raised his music game a notch higher when he released "Bad Girl
Special" with Patoranking in October 2014. Like that was not enough, he
hit the studio in the first quarter of 2015 to cut a remix alongside Dancehall
bad girl, Cynthia Morgan and the sexy Seyi Shay. Both songs have dominated
various music charts around the country and in the UK.
Meanwhile, Facebook and Twitter account owners can vote for
their favorite artistes online by visiting the awards website, http://www.ndaa.bunox.net/ . You can also
vote via SMS, send ‘NDAA (Space) Vote code’ E.g. NDAA 223. Send SMS to 33120 on
MTN, GLO, AIRTEL and ETISALAT Networks.
The organizers also said, voters can vote as many times as possible,
everyday via SMS and online.
